At Glow Sports Club, we present the ultimate glow in the dark ball hockey experience with our exciting Glow in the Dark Floor Hockey. Under UV lights, our gym transforms into a radiant arena where strategy and speed collide in our unique sports league, ensuring an unforgettable sporting spectacle filled with vibrant energy.
Game Duration:
Each Glow in the Dark Floor Hockey match runs for 40 minutes, split into two 20-minute halves with a 5-minute halftime break. Teams will battle it out in a high-energy game under the mesmerizing glow of neon lights.
Gym Setup:
– Playing Surface: The gym floor is outlined with glowing tape, and the boundaries, goals, and key areas are highlighted with bright, neon colors.
– Hockey Pucks and Sticks: Special glow-in-the-dark pucks and sticks are used, ensuring visibility and adding to the vibrant atmosphere.
Rules and Regulations:
1. Team Composition:
– Each team consists of 4 players on the floor at a time, including one goalie.
– Teams can have up to 2 substitute players.
– Substitutions are allowed only during halftime or in the event of an injury timeout.
2. Objective:
– The goal is to score more points than the opposing team by getting the glowing puck into their net.
– Points are awarded for each goal scored.
3. Gameplay:
– Starting the Game: The game begins with a face-off at the center of the gym. Players compete to gain control of the puck and advance towards the opposing team’s goal.
– Scoring: Goals are scored when the puck completely crosses the goal line.
– Penalties: Minor penalties, such as tripping or high-sticking, result in a 2-minute power play for the opposing team. Major penalties, including rough play, result in a 5-minute power play and possible ejection.
4. Conduct and Sportsmanship:
– Players are expected to play fairly and respectfully. Any form of unsportsmanlike conduct, including aggressive behavior or verbal abuse, will result in penalties.
– The referee is responsible for enforcing the rules and ensuring the game remains fair and enjoyable.
5. Referee:
– A single, experienced referee oversees the game to enforce rules, manage game flow, and resolve disputes.
– The referee has the authority to issue penalties, make final calls, and ensure all players adhere to the regulations.
6. Halftime Break:
– During the 5-minute halftime break, teams can strategize and rest. Players must remain in their designated areas and cannot participate in gameplay.
7. Winning the Game:
– The team with the most goals at the end of the 40 minutes wins. In the event of a tie, a sudden-death overtime period may be played to determine the winner.
