Gym Setup:

  • Playing Field: The gym floor is marked with glowing tape to outline the field, end zones, and yardage lines, creating a visually striking playing area.
  • Flags and Footballs: Special glow-in-the-dark flags and footballs are used to enhance visibility and add to the excitement.

Rules and Regulations:

  1. Team Composition:
  • Each team consists of 7 players on the field at a time.
  • Teams can have up to 3 substitute players.
  • Substitutions are permitted only during halftime or in the event of an injury timeout.
  1. Objective:
  • The primary goal is to advance the football into the opponent’s end zone to score a touchdown.
  • Points are awarded for touchdowns, with additional points for successful extra point attempts.
  1. Gameplay:
  • Starting the Game: Each game begins with a kickoff from the 30-yard line of the receiving team. Play resumes with a series of offensive and defensive possessions.
  • Flag Pulling: Players are considered down when an opposing player pulls their flag, not by tackling. Flags must be worn properly and visible.
  • Passing and Running: Teams can advance the ball through passing or running plays. A player must have at least one foot inbounds to complete a pass.
  1. Penalties:
  • Minor Penalties: Include false starts, offsides, and holding. Minor penalties result in a 5-yard penalty and replay of the down.
  • Major Penalties: Include personal fouls, unsportsmanlike conduct, and pass interference. Major penalties result in a 10-yard penalty or automatic first down.
  1. Conduct and Sportsmanship:
  • Players must maintain good sportsmanship and adhere to the rules of fair play. Unsportsmanlike conduct, including aggressive behavior or abusive language, will result in penalties.

  1. Referee:
  • A single, trained referee oversees the game, ensuring that the rules are enforced, managing game flow, and resolving any disputes.
  • The referee has final authority on all game-related decisions.
  1. Halftime Break:
  • A 5-minute halftime break allows teams to regroup and strategize. Players must remain in their designated areas during this time and cannot participate in the game.
  1. Winning the Game:
  • The team with the most points at the end of the 40 minutes wins. In case of a tie, a sudden-death overtime period may be played to determine the winner.
